INTA 2026 MI Metting
Sometimes the strength of our network is in its quieter moments – where the smile and the handshake is genuine and never ‘hustle’. Sure, we’re a business network, but it’s important to do business with people we like, know and trust. Which is why we provided an ‘oasis’ for MI members amidst the hurly-burly of INTA in London, to come together, breathe, smile and ‘break bread’ and quietly recharge.
Lawyer Exchange
Recently, Erin Findlay, Corporate Solicitor at BTO Solicitors in Scotland travelled to Argentina as part of Mackrell International’s Lawyer Exchange to spend time with ZBV Abogados in Buenos Aires.
It was a transformational experience both personally and professionally.
Women’s Group Meeting - San Jose, California
The MI Women’s Group met in March for its Americas meeting, bringing a strong mix of perspectives from across the network. Hosted by Hoge Fenton, discussions ranged from sport and events through career paths and leadership moving through shifting career paths and the evolving expectations of the legal profession. Conversations continued over lunch and into the evening, where experiences were shared openly and connections strengthened.
Emerging Leaders meeting in Kuala Lumpur
Emerging Leaders from Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia gathered in Kuala Lumpur in March and the the programme was packed. We explored practical networking, building your professional “tribe”, recognising genuine opportunities, protecting intellectual property, and the growing role of AI in shaping legal practice. Perhaps the most powerful reflection of the week was this: what do you truly deliver for your clients? It’s Asia, so of course there was karaoke. Thanks all to our generous and fabulously creative Malaysian hosts at RAMCSS.
The MI Map in Motion
An early start to this year’s informal meetups has already seen MI member firms connecting across Mauritius, Chile, Cyprus, South Korea and Poland. These face-to-face conversations, without agendas or presentations, remain one of the most effective ways the network strengthens professional trust. When members meet in person, understanding deepens, referrals move more naturally, and cross-border collaboration becomes commercially stronger.
