Matt DeAntonio Joins Nexsen Pruet in Charlotte; Third Litigator to Join Queen City Office this Year

Nexsen Pruet announced today that Matt DeAntonio has joined the firm’s Charlotte office as an Associate of the Business Litigation Practice Group.

With a focus on commercial disputes, DeAntonio advises a wide range of clients in a number of diverse industries, including manufacturing, broadcasting and motorsports.  He advises corporate entities on disputes related to mergers and acquisitions as well as in settlement negotiations and mediations.

Val Stieglitz, Chair of Nexsen Pruet’s Business Litigation Practice Group, said Matt addition reinforces the firm’s ability to attract some of the brightest young attorneys the Carolinas has to offer.  

“Matt is an outstanding young lawyer with impressive technical abilities and a broad legal understanding,” Stieglitz explained.  “His strengths in handling commercial disputes, coupled with his solid educational background, make him a valuable addition to the Business Litigation Practice Group.” 

DeAntonio comes to Nexsen Pruet from one of the largest international firms in the world and will work closely with litigators Will Terpening and Chris Lam, who joined the firm’s Charlotte office in March.  These hires are part of Nexsen Pruet’s continuing expansion in North Carolina, which has now attracted 15 new attorneys since the start of 2011.

DeAntonio earned his bachelor and law degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
