Firm of the Month

The firm of the month is Studio Legale Rosauer in Rome, Italy. Founded by Giulio Rosauer in 1976 and subsequently turned into a professional association, the firm has been a member of Mackrell International since 1991.

Philosophy: Based on the prior experience of the founder as a member of a prestigious law firm especially active in the international arena, the credo of Studio Legale Rosauer hinges upon two basic principles: one, of a general nature, is that proper legal work has to be supported by an adequate organisation (an approach that, historically, is somewhat uncommon in the Italian Bar environment); the other, pertaining more specifically to cross-border matters, is that even before considering the diverse legal systems involved in any given instance, the mission of international lawyers is that of creating a bridge between different cultures and mentalities, so as to facilitate the comparison and understanding of applicable rules.
Though growing during the years, the firm has purposely been kept limited in size, consistently with its philosophy to maintain direct control of the files by the relevant members in charge along with close relationships with clients.
Put it simply, Studio Legale Rosauer endeavours to perform its activity providing clients with qualified legal assistance in compliance with rigorous professional ethics, with the additional feature of a personal touch: something that most clients show to appreciate.
The work performed for companies, which constitutes a major share of the firm’s activity, as well as the constraint of deadlines in law suits have taught that time may really be of essence. Therefore, Studio Legale Rosauer takes great care in being responsive to clients, although matters are examined very thoroughly – normally, jointly by more lawyers within the firm – also on the basis of precedents accessible through the electronic means available.
In order to best assist its clients consistently with the above-mentioned approach, the firm is a partner in UNILEX, an association of Italian mid-size law firms currently present also in Bari, Catania, Florence, Messina, Milan, Naples, Prato, Reggio Calabria, Rovereto and Trento.
This allows Studio Legale Rosauer to expand its in-house abilities availing itself, when appropriate, of the synergies deriving from the different professional experiences and local relations available within UNILEX and thus better covering virtually all of the Italian territory. (It may be of interest to mention that, together with the other UNILEX members, the firm has published a guide entitled “Introduction to doing business in Italy”, available on the website: www.unilex.it).
Clients’ interest is taken into due consideration also when billing for the services rendered, so as to realise a fair cost-benefit ratio.
