FAQs

Q: How does it work?

A: A client’s first contact with MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL will be through the partner of the firm normally dealing with their affairs (their current legal provider). Their legal provider will identify the location and service needed and ensure a referral to a lawyer with the appropriate experience and knowledge. Although each member firm is independent and solely responsible for its own work, member firms work very closely together to satisfy a client’s requirements. Any MACKRELL INTERNATIONAL member will be pleased to deal with an enquiry about the workings of the network from somebody who has not previously dealt with a member firm.

Q: If I am interested in Mackrell International and have questions, who should I contact?

A: The easiest way is to send an email to the Secretariat (secretariat@mackrell.net) or to phone the Secretariat at +44 (0)1483 755609.

Q: How do international meetings function?

A: We expect all members to attend the world Annual General Meeting (AGM) as well as at least one regional meeting each year.   AGMs are held in a different city each year, usually around May, in alternating geographical regions, hosted by the local member.   There are three regions: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Asia Pacific and the Americas;   each region holds a meeting annually in the latter quarter – usually in October or November.

Q: Are member firms allowed to belong to other similar organisations?

A: It is preferred that each firm has a specific dedication to MI but, as a minimum, that they dedicate a contact partner to Mackrell International who is not the contact partner  for any other organisation.
