Arthur Igeria

Arthur is the Senior Partner at I&N and an accomplished advocate with a career spanning over 28 years’ in the legal practice. He graduated in the year 1989 from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Thereafter obtaining his Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1991.

He holds a Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) from the acclaimed United States International University (USIU). Further, he is a Certified Company Secretary, a Notary Public, and a Commissioner for Oaths. Arthur is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Arbitrator (FCIArb) and a trained Mediator by the Mediation Training Institute of Kenya (MTI).

Arthur has attended several courses and trainings in his areas of expertise. As a result of his passion in alternative dispute resolution, he was appointed by H.E. the President of the Republic of Kenya, President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, as the First Chair Person of Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration, in which he still acts in capacity. He also runs an active Arbitration and Mediation Practice, is a Tutor with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Chapter), the Mediation Training Institute, Kenya, a Mediator with the Strathmore Dispute Resolution Centre (SDRC), and an Accredited Mediator by the Mediation Accreditation Committee of the High Court of Kenya.

Arthur is also keenly involved in Corporate Governance issues and is a Trainer with the Centre for Corporate Governance (CCG) and a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD), Kenya, a member of the list of counsel entitled to practice at the International Criminal Court, (ICC) situated at The Hague, Netherlands. His core Practice Areas are: Arbitration, Mediation, Commercial Law, Conveyance and Property Law, Corporate Governance Training. Arthur is a member at Law Society of Kenya (LSK), East Africa Law Society (EALS), Institute of Certified Public Secretaries (K) (ICPSK), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Mediation Training Institute (MTI) Kenya, Institute of Directors (IOD) Kenya. In addition, Counsel Arthur Igeria is an ADR specialist, a Governance Auditor, a Tutor in ADR and Governance, and a Certified Secretary.
