NAWA MATAA LLB (UNZA) ESQ., Managing Partner
Nawa is our founding partner and senior partner of the firm. He is the pillar of the firm on whose vision the firm was built. He holds a Bachelor of laws (LLB), from the University of Zambia (UNZA). He is a member of Law Association of Zambia, a Notary Public, and an Associate Member of the Institute of Arbitrators. He is also admitted to Practice before the High Court for Zambia Nawa Mataa has spent over 27 years in industry strengthening his commercial law expertise. Having had a grounding in the financial services sector, he has since worked as Company Secretary and served on the Board of Blue-Chip Mining Support Companies. He further worked for Blue-Chip International Company in the Telecoms Sector as legal director and company secretary and was in charge for all litigation, commercial law, board matters and telecoms sector compliance. He brings valued mining and telecom sector legal experience to the firm. He also served as Corporate Counsel for Anglo America (Central Africa) Limited - as well as it’s arm Konkola Copper Mines (“KCM”) up to Company Secretary reporting to the Board. He brings wealth and legal experience in the Mining, telcom and financial sectors in Zambia which is valuable to the firm. Nawa is also a passionate Golfer and has served as Captain for the Lusaka Golf Club as well as a dedicated Round Tabler. He is also a member of Nomads Zambia.
