Martin Zeil

Born in Munich (1956), Internship in a London law firm, 1984 – 2008 lawyer at Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers, a bank with offices in Munich and Frankfurt, for ten years chief counsel and head of the corporate department and managing director of various subsidiary companies of the bank. Admission to the Bar in 1985. Member of the legal committee of the Association of German banks (BdB) for seven years. Member of the German Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) 2005 – 2008, Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and Deputy Prime Minister of the Free State of Bavaria 2008 – 2013. In the latter capacity chairman and member of numerous supervisory boards, e.g. LfA Förderbank Bayer, BayernInternational, BayernInnovativ, Bavarian Railway Corporation (BEG), Bavarian Corporation for Marketing in Tourism (BayTM) and Bayerische Landesbank (BayernLB). Awards: Bayerischer Verdienstorden (Order of the Free State of Bavaria), Stella d'Italia (Order of the Italian Republic), Golden Badge of Honor of the Bavarian Chamber of Crafts.
