To build on this expertise and develop opportunities for firms and lawyers to connect, find common clients business opportunities we have decided to start the Mackrell International Mining Practice Group with Mark Stewart from Arion legal in Australia taking the lead.

Mark Stewart is the managing partner of Arion Legal, based in Adelaide, Australia.  He has over 30 years of international legal and commercial experience, particularly in the resources industry, in Africa, Asia, North America and Australia.

He worked as an in-house lawyer for Anglo American plc for over ten years. Mark has broad commercial experience in the junior mining and resources sector, having worked in various legal and commercial roles for junior listed resource companies, including roles as a Non-Executive Director, Managing Director and Chair of several ASX listed resource companies.  Mark is currently Chair of Desert Metals Ltd an ASX listed resource company.
