MI has signed up a member for Mauritius, The Chambers of Gavin Glover SC, taking the total number of African members to five and following hot-on-the-heels of Tanzanian recruit Astute Attorneys.
Gavin Glover SC, the third generation of his family to run the practice, leads a team of nine barristers offering the full range of commercial and private client legal services.
Clive Mieville, managing director, said; “Growth in Africa is in direct response to client demand and we are ahead of our competitors, including many law firms, in Africa. Judging by the number of enquiries we are receiving from potential members in other African countries who are keen to keep their independence but have access to expert international legal advice, I expect our growth trend to continue in this continent.”
At its EMEA regional meeting in Lisbon the network’s management team confirmed its plans to hold a special annual meeting in Africa for members and clients.
