Mackrell International member firm for Singapore Wee Swee Teow LLP is happy to have been the lawyers in the collective sale of the iconic Golden Mile Complex. The S$700 million sale was completed in November. The landmark site now officially belongs to a consortium comprising Perennial Holdings, Sino Land, and Far East Organization.
Built in 1973, Golden Mile Complex is one of Singapore’s heritage buildings. This collective sale of the site is notable because it is the very first en bloc sale of a large strata-titled development that was gazetted as a conserved building due to its historical and architectural significance.
They thanked the members of the Collective Sale Committee, who garnered swift and strong consent for the sale in record time. The committee’s unflagging support made this sale possible.
WST are proud of their team led by Managing Partner and Head of Real Estate, Lee Soo Chye, and includes Jacqueline Teo, Alan Tan, Sheam Zenglin, Joyce Seah, Taffy Goh, Nancy Ang and Jill Kwan for seeing through this completion of 718 units in the development smoothly.
They gave thanks also to Ms Swee Shou Fern and her team members, Poh Xiang Ting and Nicole Chong, from Edmund Tie & Co Pte Limited - the marketing consultants to this collective sale - for an exciting four years from gestation to completion of the project.
